A washable cloth mask that can be used again and again. With rising temperatures in mind, we wanted to create something suitable even for warmer seasons. With that intention, a new mask has been added to the KOROMO collection.

By using Takashima chijimi fabric printed with our original all-over pattern “Hyakka-chō (Hundred Flowers and Butterflies)” through katazome Kyoto Yuzen, the outer layer feels cool both visually and to the touch.

For the inner layer, we selected a contact-cooling material that gives a subtle sense of coolness with every breath, carefully tailoring the mask for comfort.

As with previous designs, the pleated three-dimensional structure makes it easy to wear. A pocket between the outer and inner layers allows a filter to be inserted, adding functionality while remaining a cloth mask.

Each mask also comes with three mask filters enclosed. These filters create a three-layer structure when inserted, using melt-blown nonwoven fabric that blocks PM2.5 particles.

This mask was created by KOROMO with the question, “If we were to make something as clothing for the hotter season, what should it be?” Designed in one free size, it can be worn by both men and women. We hope it will be of some help to you, even in a small way.
