A printing plate that is about half the size of a tatami mat for hand printing can range from 1 to over 15 printing plates.

Although it is true that it is possible to show beautiful Yuzen dyeing by increasing the number of printing plate, but it’s so difficult to express an all-over pattern in a single printing plate.

Unlike simply expressing a design in solid printing plate, both strength and weakness are created by the finest dots on this printing plate, when looked at from distance, it appears the work is expressed by layering several piling up.

This is the very first printing plate for us KOROMO, so it’s special plate even for us.
