With a serpent-like body and eighty-one scales along its back, the dragon is a mythical creature formed by combining elements of various animals.
Dwelling in water, soaring through the sky, summoning clouds, and calling forth rain, its spiritual power has long inspired awe and reverence. Among countless mythical beings, the dragon has been especially admired—so much so that painters throughout history competed to capture its form with brush and ink.

This short-sleeve all-over print shirt depicts a dragon firmly clutching a sacred jewel, emerging from faintly drifting mist and clouds.

It is said that Maruyama Ōkyo, an artist active in Kyoto during the Edo period, painted dragons in ink as if he had just seen them with his own eyes.
This is KOROMO’s dragon—created in pursuit of that same spirit found in Ōkyo’s sumi-e.
