At the point where the Fuefuki and Kamanashi Rivers merge to form the Fuji River, the tremendous volume of water creates one of Japan’s three fastest-flowing rivers, producing powerful and turbulent currents.

Beyond these raging waves, which could easily be mistaken for the sea itself, stands the serene presence of Mount Fuji.
The fisherman, bending his body into a curved shape as he pulls in his net, mirrors the form of Mount Fuji in the background. Such geometric sophistication and compositional ingenuity are truly remarkable.
