From childhood to adulthood, festivals have always filled our hearts with excitement.
It seems, however, that humans are not the only ones drawn to the festive atmosphere.
Look closely among the lanterns, and you may notice that one of them is… not quite ordinary.
Inspired by this playful scene, we created this design as part of KOROMO's signature Kimono-Collar collection.
The distinctive kimono-style collar is crafted from a lightweight Sashiko fabric inspired by Akiha (open-weave) textiles often used for summer kimono and yukata. The breathable texture not only enhances the traditional appearance but also keeps the neckline cool and comfortable during the warmer months.
In Kyoto, the cheerful sound of "Konchikichin," the music of the Gion Festival, echoes through the streets each summer, announcing the arrival of the season.
Yukata and jinbei are timeless festival attire, but if you're looking for something that combines the spirit of a Japanese festival with everyday comfort, this Kimono-Collar T-shirt is the perfect choice.
