The design is based on a vintage British Army shirt. A distinctive feature commonly seen in the 1940s–1950s is the rounded hem at the front.

This detail was intended to prevent the shirt from coming untucked when worn with trousers, allowing for ease of movement. In an era when tucking shirts into pants was the norm, this functional design was carefully considered and incorporated.
