That was before I began working in this field. But the more you understand it, the more you realize—this material has remarkable depth.

This long cardigan is made from jersey fabric using so-called “open-end spun yarn,” spun by the force of air. It has a satisfying volume, yet retains a dry touch with a firm, structured feel. The yarn itself is made from American cotton, chosen in respect of its historical use in denim and shirts around the 1930s—a material selected with careful intention.

The extended collar, a defining feature of the piece, is adorned with lotus flowers, expressed through discharge dyeing and hand-guided embroidery, as if each bloom competes in quiet elegance.

One of the strengths of a cardigan lies in its versatility—the expression changes completely depending on whether it is worn open or buttoned closed.
