Many of us remember our first day of elementary school. After the entrance ceremony, being guided into the classroom, and finding a box on the desk with your name written on it.

Opening it with excitement, inside were study tools for math—counting sticks, a small clock, and a tiny abacus.
You may recall the hard birch beads, shaped like double cones, strung together and neatly lined in rows.

Today, those abacus beads can be found at antique markets, tucked away in old boxes alongside traditional toys like menko and sugoroku.
We gathered these beads and reimagined them as buttons adorning the chest.

The indigo T-shirt, designed with a China collar, features a gently shaped waist that creates a clean, elegant silhouette.
At the chest, a hanamaru motif—symbolizing harmony and completeness—is expressed through a discharge print.
